For over 30 years, Dr. Rockwell practiced community orthopedic surgery with Goldsboro Orthopaedic Associates and was a past president of the North Carolina Orthopaedic Association. In October 2011, the NCOA awarded Dr. David Rockwell, The Honored Surgeon Award which recognizes a North Carolina orthopedic surgeon who has been notably influential in the promotion of the highest standards of orthopedic care and has distinguished himself among his peers for the dedication to quality patient care and to the medical profession. He is a board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
