Matthew Resnick
DVMDr. Resnick comes to us from his home base in Westchester, NY. From an early age he was involved in animals in one way or another, from competitive horseback riding to working in local pet stores including Columbus Zoo. He earned his undergraduate degree in microbiology from The Ohio State University and earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University. Dr. Resnick joined VCA Wrightsville Beach in 2004, his special interests include, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, pain management, cancer therapy, and ultrasonography. He completed a clinical year of study at the North Carolina State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital, where he met his beautiful wife, Rebecca and worked at the city animal shelter. After practicing at a small animal and emergency hospital in Port Jervis, NY, he returned to North Carolina to work and play. Hobbies include any boarding sport, music, international travel, and teaching his son, River, about this wondrous world. Along with his wife and son her shares his home with a Pointer named Jazz, Thalia, a Pitbull mix, and 4 cats Pixie, Triton, Nico, and Tonks.
