Matthew Resnick
DVMDr. Resnick comes to us from his home base in Westchester, NY. From an early age he was involved in animals in one way or another, from competitive horseback riding to working in local pet stores including Columbus Zoo. He earned his undergraduate degree in microbiology from The Ohio State University and earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University. Dr. Resnick joined VCA Wrightsville Beach in 2004, his special interests include, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, pain management, cancer therapy, and ultrasonography. He completed a clinical year of study at the North Carolina State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital, where he met his beautiful wife, Rebecca and worked at the city animal shelter. After practicing at a small animal and emergency hospital in Port Jervis, NY, he returned to North Carolina to work and play. Hobbies include any boarding sport, music, international travel, and teaching his son, River, about this wondrous world. Along with his wife and son her shares his home with a Pointer named Jazz, Thalia, a Pitbull mix, and 4 cats Pixie, Triton, Nico, and Tonks.

Tiffany Chappell
DVMDr. Tiffany Chappell joins our VCA team from Portland, Oregon to be closer to family and live life back in the sun. She was raised in Athens, Georgia where she attended undergrad and received a bachelor's degree in biology and minor in animal science. To continue her education in bulldog country she attended the veterinary school at the University of Georgia and graduated in 2008. Upon completion of school she did an internship at an emergency referral hospital in Tampa, Florida and then headed west for Oregon. While in Portland, Dr. Chappell enjoyed life with her husband Bobby, daughter Luna and her four legged children, Izzy the terrier mix and Tsunami the lazy cat. In her spare time she enjoys kayaking, travel, DIY arts and craft, reading, and relaxing with her family. Dr. Chappell is excited to provide quality care for the pet community of Wilmington and looks forward to meeting you!. "I chose this career to be an advocate for the pets we all know and love. It is fulfulling to know I can help people care for their pets and keep them healthy and happy for a long time. I think my favorite thing about being a veterinarian though is the family that is created between the clients, the pets and the staff.".
